1. Registration
A. Registration for New Families
Please use our Public Course Catalog page. Class registration is done one student at a time. (1) Use the filter to narrow by subject or search by typing in a course name. For full-year courses, change the “Semester” drop-down to “Full-year.” (2) Click the box next to all of the classes you would like to enroll the first student in, and (3) scroll down to click the “Register” button at the bottom of the screen. You can also unselect courses and click “Register” to save your current selections.
On the next page, click to create a new account:
On the “Create New Account” page, please fill out ALL fields (even if not required) for both Student and Guardian.

B. Registration for Returning Families
If you have taken classes with us previously, you already have an account. Follow these steps.
1. Log In
To access your Genius SIS account, go to the WTM Academy website: wtmacademy.com and select “Parent Login” in the upper-right corner.
Log in with your current username and password. If you can’t remember your password, click the “here” after “Forgot your Login / Password” under the login button, and enter your email address to reset your password.
2. Select or Add New Student
Now, (1) select your student or select “New Student” from the top menu, then (2) “Register for Courses” from the left menu.
To select Sections, (1) Use the filter to narrow by subject, or search by typing in a course name. (2) Click the box next to all of the courses you want your first student to take, and (3) scroll down to click the “Register” button at the bottom of the screen. Tip: if you get logged out after you click “Register”, the same sections will still be selected when you return to this screen.
C. Registration Final Steps (All Families)
Checkout & Payment Page:
Once you click “Register,” you arrive on the Payment Page:
(1) Verify the student you selected
(2) Upload a document to verify the age of your student; JPG or PDF only.
(3) Once the upload is complete, you will be able to see the document
(4) Check the total tuition and fees
(5) Verify courses and times
(6) Notice the status is “Pending Payment” or “Waitlist”
(7) If you are using charter school funds select “Yes” and then select your school from the drop-down list
(8) If you are paying with a credit card you can “Pay in Full” or select “Monthly” payment plan (20% down payment plus monthly installments for the length of the course).
(9) Returning families; select payment card from those on file, or enter a new one.
(10) Select “Register” to submit your payment or select “Change Courses” for the selected student. Don’t forget to check the box that you have read and agree with WTMA’s refund policy and Terms and Conditions.
Once your payment is submitted, you will see a confirmation screen. On this screen you will see, (1) the status changes to either successful or waitlist, and you will see a (2) successful payment message. (3) Go to the dashboard or add courses for another student (new or existing)
New courses and class times are listed in the “Academic Snapshot” widget:
Add Students or Courses
To add more classes, (1) select your student or “New Student” from the top menu, then (2) “Request Courses” from the left menu.
Ledgers & Payments
Click on “Make a Payment” to view your account ledger. You will see that the down payment is paid and the amount currently due is “Paid-to-Date.” You can also see the amount due for future payments. Installments are processed on the 5th of each month (see Ledger section for more details).
2. Account Access
Login
To access your Genius SIS account, go to the WTM Academy website wtmacademy.com and select
“Parent Login” in the upper-right corner..
If you are not sure if you have an account, or if you can’t remember your password, click “here” after “Forgot your Login / Password” under the login button, and enter your email address to reset your password.
Dashboard
Select your student from the top menu (1), then (2) view individual student changes, (3) view parent profile changes (credit cards, invoices, and account information), (4) view current & upcoming courses (listed under Academic Snapshot) and class times, or (5) view requested courses (waitlisted and unpaid).
3. Billing & Payments
Make a Payment: View Your Invoice & Balance
We process unpaid installments on the 5th of each month. However, at any time you can easily check your balance, pay any/all installments, change the card you’re paying with, or make other updates to your contact and billing information.
To view or pay your invoice, click on “Make a payment” on the left-hand side of your screen.
To make a payment:
(A) At the top of the page you can see your current balance due as of today’s date.
(B) Choose your semester - go through each semester to ensure you see all invoices.
(C) Select an installment or view transactions.
(D) Make a payment with the card on file, or pay with a new card.
Note: See the “Total” at the bottom of each column for total tuition charges, payments made, or remaining balance for the semester.
Once your payment is successful, you will see the following confirmation:
Once the installment owed is paid, you will see “Paid-to-Date” at the top of your screen.
Tip: Be sure to check each semester and all students before you log out!
Update Default Credit Card
You can update your default credit card at any time by selecting “Payment Profile” from the menu. You can add a new card or edit/delete any existing card. Cards listed in your profile can be selected from a drop-down list when paying for any student in your account.
The option to add a new card while paying is also available on the “Make Payment” menu.
Notes:
- If only one card is listed it is automatically the default (even though it might display “False”).
- Automatic installments will always be processed with the default card.
4. Update Contact Information
Parent Contact Information
You can change your account settings, create a new password, or update your contact information under “Edit Account,” which you access on the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.
While you are logged in, please verify your phone number and email address.
Update Student Information
(1) Review Student information (2) Save updated address for all of your students (3) Review Parent contact information (4) List Documented Learning Differences (please provide only short explanation).
5. Classroom Access & Academic Progress
Parents can access detailed information for each course their student is enroilled in. Select “Blackboard Classes” on the left menu of the parent dashboard to directly access the detailed assignment grades and comments from instructors, or you can get an overview of assignment progress within Genius SIS.
Blackboard Classroom Access
In Genius SIS, current and upcoming courses display in the Academic Snapshot widget on the dashboard. On the left menu, select “Blackboard Classes” to automatically sign parents and students into the student’s Blackboard account. Blackboard classrooms are usually opened on the Friday before the first day of class. Please wait for your instructor’s welcome email before attempting to access the course.
Once completed, courses move down to the “Completed Courses” widget. The final grade will show. Note: certificates of completion have been replaced by the “Unofficial Transcript” (located on the left menu as of the Fall, 2022). Unofficial transcripts do not show any credits that have been earned. An official transcript contain credits earned and can be requested here.
Assignments and Grades
If you would like to see detailed grades and feedback in a current course:
- Logged in to Genius
- Click on the student name at the top of the dashboard.
- On the left menu, select “Blackboard Classes”. This will sign you into your student's Blackboard account.

Report Cards
Grades for courses in progress are posted on the student dashboard.
