To Check or Change the Audio and Video Set-up:
Every time you enter a classroom, you should take a moment or two to check your audio and video settings. Enter your classroom a few minutes before it is scheduled to start to make any changes.
- To check your settings, click on the round button on the bottom left towards the middle of the screen:
- Once you click on that round button, on the right of your screen, a sidebar will appear. Click on “Set Up Your Camera and Microphone” to launch the audio and video setup wizard:
- The first box that will appear allows you to test your microphone. You can select the microphone you will use and if you speak, you will see a magenta colored bar move indicating that your voice is heard. That means your microphone works. Don’t worry, during this test phase, no one can hear you. Make sure your microphone works before moving on. Click on “Yes—It’s working” once you are ready!
- The next box will ask you to set up your video. You’ll see a box in the middle with the image your camera is showing. Make sure your face is centered in the camera. Click on “Yes—It’s working” once you are ready!
- In the rare case your audio is not working, you can use a phone to enter the audio portion of your class. If you need to, click again on the bottom circle to reveal “my settings” and you’ll see a box that says “use your phone for audio.” Click on that box to reveal your phone number and unique pin to enter the audio portion of your session via phone.
- Once the phone number is revealed, dial it and follow the instructions to enter your PIN. Make sure that you “mute” your phone’s audio until you are called on to participate.
