Yes, you may list WTMA’s problem-solving approach math classes as “honors” on the transcript you create for your student. Our problem-solving classes are designed to allow students who enjoy the challenge of difficult problems to explore mathematical concepts at an advanced level. Our problem-solving courses ask students to solve problems that are significantly more complex than those in a regular course of study. The problems used in the curriculum are often chosen from top mathematics competitions like MATHCOUNTS, HMMT, the AMC 10 and AMC 12. Students taking these classes spend time each week writing about their work in complete written solutions and paragraph proofs.
