Many WTMA math and science instructors use educational technology tools to enhance both their teaching and the student experience in their classes. Current tools include Labster, MathXL, and Whiteboard. Students enrolled in courses where these tools are used will be charged a $25 licensing fee on or near August 1. The maximum charge will be $50. For example, if your student is enrolled in one math class that uses MathXL and two science classes using Labster, you will only pay for one Labster license.
Student licenses are not transferable. Once the fee is charged, it is non-refundable. As such, the STEM fee will not be charged until August 1 to allow for schedule changes without penalty. After August 1, instructors will distribute tool login information to enrolled students.
